How important are wedding favors? What would you like to receive!?

I have been looking around and reading about wedding favors- I have seen everything to very expensive -5 per person gifts and read about people actually just not doing them. I also was told just to give cheap cheap things like hersery kisses wrapped in tulle. I guess it’s because I am an artist but I want my favors to be nice and not just mints. I guess my questions are- What would you like to reiceve as a wedding favor and what was the nicest wedding favor you have ever revieved? I am thinking about making candles in little jars for my favors and I am getting mixed feeling on it. Like it should be candy or I should try to do something cheaper. Granted I want to save money but I don’t want to give someone a blahhhh favor.
Am I the only person who notices the wedding favor??

I need a cute saying for our wedding favors?

I made little pink rose shaped soaps and put them in tulle bags as favors for our May wedding. I am purchasing tags to attach to the bags with our name and wedding date, however, I also want a cute saying as well. One- so people know they are soaps and two- because I think it is a cute idea. I just can’t think of anything. Anyone have any ideas?

when is a good time to make wedding favors?

Our wedding is in 3 months. ( 93 days to be exact, whooo hoo ) Im just going to make simple favors of M&m’s wrapped in tulle. I have plastic wine cups and swans, and even "glass slippers" ( not sure which im using yet though.
When is a good time i can do them to get them done and out of the way? Is it still too early. Will the chocolate go stale? How would i store them?
How soon before the wedding, if you used candy like that did you make your favors?
