With the build complete, engineers take Juke-R to MIRA proving ground to check all systems work correctly before heading to Silverstone to push the car’s limits. Honda will begin leasing the US-spec Fit EV next summer in select West Coast markets in California and Oregon which will be expanded to six others on the East coast in early 2013. The Honda Fit EV is powered by a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery feeding a 92 kW (125 PS / 123 hp) coaxial electric motor. The Fit will feature three drive modes – Econ, Normal and Sport – with a possible range of 123 miles (198 km) in Econ mode. Recharging the batteries via a 240 volt charger can take as little as three hours. The 2013 Honda Fit EV is priced at 625 and has an estimated lease priced of 9 a month.
