Plasma TV under bed

It appears that we have the dvd player hooked up correctly to my new plasma tv, but the movie plays in black and white, instead of color. The cable is working fine and in color, but we are stumped on why the DVDs are coming across in b&w.

Hi guys, i just bought a panasonic plasma 42pv8d for Rs.43k, and its being delivered tomorrow and i was just wondering how to check the usage hours on the plasma tv so that i am not conned into taking a display piece from the showroom.

And is there any other things that i should look into when the tv is delivered to me?

techstoprepair.blogspot.com Here is a semi detailed video of a 50″ Philips plasma tv repair model 50PF9731D/37. This was my first TV repair and i thought it would be helpful to show how easy it can be. I replaced 2 3300uf 10v 105c capacitors. From what i’ve read this is one of the most common repairs for LCD and Plasma due to power surge. Total cost of repair was about in parts. Please feel free to ask any question in the comments section. Sorry about the audio in some spots, but i promise you didnt miss anything. Thanks!

I have a 50" Panasonic Plasma TV. I built a fire in my house and the fireplace is probably 4 feet away from the TV. The opening is pointing away from the TV so the heat isn’t directly hitting the TV. I put my hand on the TV after the fire had been going for approx 45 min and there was no heat change at all. I’m just wondering if there are any known harmfull effects associated with building a fire around the plasma. Thanks for any help.

I have been dealing with a trader in Hong Kong, and he has quoted to me prices for mobiles, plasma tv’s i enquired. The prices are less than half of market price. I asked how he sells so cheap, he answered that he has contact with factories etc. I am interested in buying from him, but I am worried if he is not giving a quality product, and am worried if he is going to give a fake guarantee card. Anyone one has similar experience in buying from these kind of traders?

I plan on getting a brand new Plasma TV 50" 1080p, but I am worried about image retention and burn-ins. Are the new Plasma’s advanced enough to prevent this? I keep hearing people not having a problem, but I still keep hearing stories of people having to return their TVs because of the frequent burn-ins.
